This session will provide comprehensive insights into maintaining lease compliance. It will showcase strategies that seamlessly integrate trauma-informed care into resident interactions, promoting overall community health.
The presenters will draw from their extensive experience managing multiple Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) programs. PSH is an intervention that aims to support the most vulnerable households and those with the most barriers to becoming and remaining housed, including those experiencing chronic homelessness.
While not every affordable community operates on the model of PSH programs, all recognize the challenge of balancing care with compliance. Integrating trauma-informed care into each interaction with residents promotes strong relationships that enhance resident’s lives while maintaining contractual obligations and compliance needs.
Participants will acquire practical tools and resources tailored for navigating resident relations with empathy and a trauma-informed approach. Through interactive exercises, attendees will actively engage in skill-building activities, enhancing their ability to manage conflicts with residents and increasing their confidence in doing so.
