CHFA's Position on 2010 Ballot Initiatives

Amendments 60, 61 and Proposition 101

Based on the negative impacts the 2010 Ballot item entitled State and Local Debt Limitations will have on CHFA’s ability to fulfill its mission, the CHFA Board of Directors has taken a position in opposition to Amendment 61.

Furthermore, after review of the 2010 Ballot items identified as Amendment 60, Local Property Tax Revenue and Proposition 101, Motor Vehicle, Income, Telecommunications Taxes and Fees, the CHFA Board has decided these proposals are detrimental to the health and well being of state and local services critical to CHFA’s customers. Therefore, the CHFA Board has taken a position in opposition to both.
