I start my day by…

taking a quick hot shower and brushing my teeth. I then wake my children to get them ready for Daycare and school. They are old enough now that they can dress themselves and prepare their backpacks. I get their breakfast and fix their lunchs. The biggest challenge with getting them ready is keeping them moving. 

During my commute to work, I most often think about….

I typically zone out and listen to the traffic reports on 850KOA.

I would describe my typical workday as….

hectic and very busy.  I am a firefighter.

My primary job responsibilities are…

I make sure that the people at CHFA are not hindered by the technology they rely on to conduct their business.

One quality/personality trait that you have to have in my position is…

Liking to help people is a must.  Being extremely flexable and able to adjust in a dynamic working environment.  Multitasking.

The best part of my job at CHFA is…

I love my job. The best part is the praise I get from the people when I fix there particular issue. I also like that every day is different and I always learn something new.

For lunch I typically….

I like to ride my bike on the Cherry Creek and Platte river bike paths.

When I get home from work, the first thing I do is….

start my second job - my house and my family

On my days off, I can most often be found…

working on the house or riding in the mountains.

I start my day by…

getting up with my husband, making lunches for my husband & daughter; feed the dogs, feed the frogs. Clean up anything I couldn’t get to the night before, get ready for work, run to the bus stop because I’m running late as usual. 

During my commute to work, I most often think about….

I really don’t have time to think, one of the passengers on my bus sits with me everyday and we talk till it is time for me to get off.  If Mark isn’t on the bus, I read my book (which I’ve been carrying for 2 months since Mark hasn’t been gone) or I have a gab fest with the bus driver.

I would describe my typical workday as….

full, enjoyable, rewarding and sometimes it taxes my brain.

My primary job responsibilities are…

paying the FHA monthly   insurance premiums, taking care of customers, section 8 payments and whatever else comes up during the day.

One quality/personality trait that you have to have in my position is…

kindness.

The best part of my job at CHFA is…

working with section 8 customers; they are so appreciative of what they have and those who make it possible for them.

For lunch I typically….

eat at my desk, or go for a short walk.

By the end of my workday I have...

done a good days job and looking forward to the next day (sometimes hoping I’ll wake up to it being Friday instead of Wednesday.)

When I get home from work, the first thing I do is….

HIT THE REFRIGERATOR!!!!!!!!!

On my days off, I can most often be found…

at exercise class (every Saturday),  at home cleaning house, biking or hiking with the family.  IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!!! (oh, and the pantry).

walking or riding my bike into work. The walk through downtown is always entertaining. Sunshine and fresh air will wake you up better than any cup of coffee ever could.

what's on-tap for the day and organize what I will work on first.

I would describe my typical workday as….

ever-changing. In my position, I have the opportunity to work on the creative and strategic sides of marketing. 

My primary job responsibilities are…

writing and editing corporate communications, developing advertising concepts, and strategic planning.

the ability to understand what your "customers" want and balance it with what you would like to accomplish. 

The best part of my job at CHFA is…

my team!  We definitely have a good time. 

For lunch I typically….

bring my lunch, but like to eat at my desk then go for a walk around downtown or along the Platte. I also take advantage of the free yoga classes that are offered during lunch.

By the end of my workday I have...

accomplished most of my tasks, but also created some more work along the way--such is the nature of my position. 

When I get home from work, the first thing I do is….

decompress, either by running or reading.  

On my days off, I can most often be found…

hiking, camping, biking, or snowshoeing.

inspiring.  I have the privilege of working with a great team, and of course, our borrowers (small businesses) who continue to inspire me to work hard.

underwriting small business loan requests and marketing the Business Finance products to a variety of partners statewide.

have to pay since everybody expects the lender to pick up the tab.

hug my children and husband. 

On my days off, I can most often be found…..

lately, on the ski slopes (learning to ski for the first time after living in Colorado for over 20 years. It’s never too late to learn.)

having a fruit smoothie while watching Good Morning America and trying desperately to wake up. I am a night owl so mornings are a little rough around my house.

During my commute to work, I most often think about….

WAKING UP!!!! Just kidding… usually, I think about what I am going to do first when I get to the office. After that I try and pay attention to traffic.

I would describe my typical workday as….

busy, never the same, and most of all FUN!. That is what I love about my job.

My primary job responsibilities are…

working with properties to ensure compliance with their particular program requirements; which include Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, RTC Affordable Housing, and CHFA loans. I am very lucky to have a very diverse portfolio, working with properties that participate one or more of the above programs. I am also responsible for Section 8 contract renewals and rent increases.

One quality/personality trait that you have to have in my position is…

being very organized.

The best part of my job at CHFA is…

all of my coworkers in program compliance and Section 8 Compliance. Everyone is so supportive and willing to pitch in and help even if they are really busy themselves. I also enjoy the positive atmosphere. 

The worst part of my workday is usually…

when I have to do a bunch of filing. I wish I could just do the “I Dream of Jeanie ” blink and have it all done.

For lunch I typically….

eat at my desk, except for Fridays when I go to lunch with coworkers.

By the end of my workday I have...

talked to several residents and a few property owners, reviewed audited/monthly financials, written a management review, and attended one or two meetings. 

When I get home from work, the first thing I do is….

greet my two Pomeranians, Ricco and Roxie, who jump all over me and will not leave me alone until I pet and talk to them. If my husband and stepson are home we eat dinner together and discuss what went on during our days.
