Description of Classes:

Automated Underwriting with Desktop Underwriter – Learn all the benefits of Desktop Underwriter and walk away with timesaving tips to assist you on your next DU loan. You will learn to properly document your file and learn how to read the Underwriter findings report.

Evaluating the Appraisal – This comprehensive program will focus on typical secondary market guidelines, approaches to value, and cautionary items that will help identify potential problems with appraisals. The class will cover the Uniform Residential Appraisal report (FNMA and FHLMC forms). (Note – Calculator Required).

Course Administrator:

Beryl Johnson, Regional Training Director for MGIC, has been in the mortgage lending industry for twenty plus years. Beryl has been with MGIC since 1997 in various positions; currently she is involved in developing and facilitating mortgage training programs.

Beryl has a Bachelor of Science degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, Florida, and an MBA from the University of Missouri Kansas City, Block School of Business.

Beryl’s previous experience includes: processor, underwriter, corporate underwriter, operations manager/ trainer, account manager, regional training director.
