Federal First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit Important Dates

The deadline for taking advantage of this tax credit is rapidly drawing to a close. Please be reminded of the following important dates:

• October 30: The final date to make CHFA JumpStart^sm reservations.
  
  
• November 24: The final date to deliver Compliance files to CHFA to guarantee that your loan is approved in time to close before December 1. [Note: Loans that are submitted for Compliance review and subsequently suspended are not guaranteed approval before December 1.]
  
  
• November 26: CHFA is closed for Thanksgiving.
  
  
• November 27: CHFA is open from 8:00am to Noon.
  
  
• November 30: The final closing date to comply with the tax credit requirements.
