Attention REACH members and participants,

The third quarter schedule of classes has been posted on the CHFA website and brochures are at the printer and will be mailed soon. Most of the classes are beneficial for all property types and there are classes pertinent to everyone on your staff. Check them out!

We had a full house last week for our Three Day Quadel Section 8 Manager Certification class. Mary Ann, our instructor, is looking forward to coming back to Denver in October for the second workshop this year, scheduled for October 28th – 30th. See the class description on our website or call me if you’re interested. We will give REACH members priority until July 1st and then registrations will be on a first-come first-served basis.

We have one class to go in May and it’s not too late for you to register. This class on contracts will be very helpful to site managers and everyone else that utilizes contracts to manage and maintain their properties. Please call me if you have any questions.

Contracts 101

Do you sometimes feel nervous and unsure of yourself as you pick up a pen to sign the contracts necessary for the management of your property? This training will give you the basic skills to be more confident and informed when reviewing and signing these documents. We will address contract formation, offer and acceptance, consideration, capacity, requirements of a writing, performance, remedies and damages, as well as discharge and termination. In addition, we will address particular issues property managers may have with respect to contracts.
