Dear REACH members and participants,

I hope you are all surviving this hot dry summer. Setting records is usually considered a pretty neat deal (especially with the Olympics just around the corner), but this summer I think we could all agree – Enough!

REACH has four classes scheduled in August, two in Grand Junction and two in Denver:

Crime-Free Multihousing Program - Wednesday, August 13th in Grand Junction: CHFA feels this class is so important that we are partnering with the Montrose and Grand Junction police departments to offer it to both REACH non-members as well as REACH members for no fee. The full day class is the first phase of a very successful international program developed in Mesa Arizona. Managers and maintenance staff are encouraged to attend the class together and we still have space for a couple more properties.
Integrated Pest Management - Friday, August 15th in Denver: Attendees will get some great resources in this class, including how to design an inclusive plan that is both effective and less toxic. Learn how to be proactive, improve health and safety, reduce expenses, and be kinder to our environment.
Basic Fair Housing Workshop - Tuesday, August 19th in Denver: This workshop has reached capacity, however, you are welcome to add your name to the waiting list in the event of any cancellations.
Certifying Section 8 Tenants & File Maintenance - Tuesday, August 26th in Grand Junction:. This is a great workshop for either new staff or seasoned staff wanting to update and refresh their Section 8 occupancy knowledge. We will cover eligibility, required notices to tenants, dual tenancy, pro-rated households, income adjustments and calculations, required third party verifications, file maintenance, and much more.
