2008 Round Two Tax Credit Awards Announced

On Tuesday, June 17, 2008, the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority’s Tax Credit Committee completed its review of applications submitted in Round Two of the Competitive Tax Credit Allocation process. During Round Two, the Committee reviewed 10 applications from around the State, totaling $5,382,023 in annual credit requested.

Tax credit reservations were awarded in support of six projects totaling $3,395,259 in annual credit. Highlights of Round Two include:

  • The six projects will support the development of 321 units of multi-family affordable rental housing in Denver, Commerce City, Loveland, Rifle, and Silvercliff.

  • Four of the recipient projects are for new construction, while two of the projects receiving awards are for acquisition/rehab of existing developments.

  • The affordability mix includes 63 units serving residents at 30% of the Area Median Income (AMI), 110 units at 40% AMI; 106 units at 50% AMI, and 38 units at 60% AMI.
