Mandatory Lender training

The following free classes are only open to current CHFA approved lenders and their staff. As of February 15, 2009, CHFA required that all staff of our participating lenders who wish to continue originating/processing CHFA loans and who have a HomeConnection account attend mandatory training. Current lenders can satisfy the training requirement by taking the webinar class or a regular monthly class.

Regular lender training is held at CHFA Denver each month. This class lasts two hours and fulfills the mandatory training requirement. We strongly encourage new loan officers, processors or operations staff to attend the regular lender training before doing their first CHFA loan. Follow the information on the posting to rsvp.

The webinar training is for those lenders who are familiar with and experienced in doing CHFA loans. There are various webinar classes provided. Please note that when new programs become available, the webinar will only cover the new program and will NOT fulfill the “mandatory training” requirement to originate loans in all programs. All staff members of CHFA approved lenders are welcome to attend any webinar, however some webinars may be geared toward specific lender staff (originators, processors, etc.) and if so, will be noted. Each webinar lasts approximately one hour or less.

The moderator will email you your conference codes and important participant information. Please do not call CHFA with your RSVP for any of the webinar classes. We will be adding additional classes in the future, so please continue to check this page.

Monthly Lender Training

Realtor^® training

This class is offered free of charge for licensed Colorado Realtors^®. Realtors will learn how CHFA's residential loan programs can help them get more first time buyers into their first home. CHFA's programs for non-first time buyers will also be covered. Realtors will learn about program requirements, loan process and benefits of using a CHFA loan. This class is worth two CE credits.
