Mandatory Lender training
Below are free training classes for CHFA-approved lenders and their staff. As of February 15, 2009, CHFA required that all staff of our participating lenders who wish to continue originating/processing CHFA loans and who have a CHFA HomeConnectionsm account attend mandatory training.
Regular lender training is held at the Denver CHFA office each month and occasionally in our Grand Junction office. This standard class lasts two hours and fulfills the mandatory training requirement. We require loan officers, and strongly encourage processors or operations staff, to attend this lender training before doing their first CHFA loan.
In order to keep you well-informed about specific CHFA programs, when new programs become available, one-hour webinar training is offered covering the new program. Those classes will not fulfill the mandatory training requirement because they do not cover all CHFA programs. All staff members of CHFA-approved lenders are welcome to attend any webinar; however, some webinars may be geared toward specific lender staff (originators, processors, etc.) and if so, will be noted.
To register for a class, click on the name of the moderator teaching that class to email them your RSVP. Be sure to state the date of the webinar you wish to join. Once you are registered, the moderator will email you your conference codes and important participant information. Please do not call CHFA with your RSVP for any of the webinar classes. Please arrive on time for training as late arrivals will not be given credit for attendance.
And don't forget, we are always adding classes, so check back to see what new opportunities are available!
Monthly Lender Training
This two-hour class is open to all staff of CHFA-approved lenders. We will cover all the program basics of using the CHFA programs. Please attend if you have never originated a CHFA loan or if you’re an experienced CHFA lender needing
updating about our program changes. Attending a CHFA training class is now mandatory in order to originate a CHFA loan and/or to keep (or receive) access to the CHFA HomeConnection system.
