EIV – Enterprise Income Verification
Effective January 31, 2010 all project based Section 8 developments will be required to use EIV (Enterprise Income Verification) for certification purposes for all subsidized units. The use of EIV is applicable to the Section 8 program only.
Because no Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) exists for use of the EIV process for Bond/Loan Financing and Tax Credit developments, effective January 31, 2010 the use of the HUD Section 8 form 50059 will no longer be an acceptable Certification form.
As of January 31, 2010 all Bond/Loan Financed and Tax Credit developments will be required to use the Tenant Income Certification (TIC) form or comparable documentation. The use of the HUD form 50059 will no longer be allowed.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office assigned to your project.
