Colorado ranks 11th in the country as the least affordable state in which to live, according to a 2004 National Low Income Housing Coalition survey. This statistic points to a huge continuing need for affordable rental housing within our state.
CHFA helps fill the gap by increasing the availability of decent, accessible housing for lower income Coloradans. Specifically, CHFA’s Commercial Lending Division provides financial resources to developers for the acquisition, rehabilitation, new construction, and refinance of affordable rental housing.
