Round One Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) awards announced

CHFA's Tax Credit Committee has completed Round One of its competitive allocation process. The Committee reviewed 15 applications requesting a total of $15,279,486 in annual credit. Reservations were awarded to five new construction projects totaling 395 units and $4,727,133 in annual credit.
Round One Recipient Profiles
Point of the Pines Gardens – An 89-unit assisted living project being developed by MEJansen Development Company LLC, to serve low income seniors in Colorado Springs. This project will offer private, fully furnished rooms with private baths for Medicaid-eligible residents.
Bluff Lake – This 92-unit project will be located in the Stapleton master-planned community and will offer 46 units for homeless individuals and families and 46 units for low income individuals and families. Supportive services will be offered onsite at the project, including crisis intervention, transportation, medical, and referral programs.
Dahlia Square – An 88-unit project being developed by McDermott Properties to serve low income seniors in the Park Hill neighborhood of northeast Denver. The project will offer a large community area for various activities and will have a Senior Activities Coordinator onsite.
Glenwood Family – A 56-unit project being developed by Archdiocesan Housing, Inc. to serve low income families in Glenwood Springs. This project will be the first multifamily project to be built in Glenwood since 1985 and the first affordable housing project to be built in the town since 1992.
Pikes Peak Senior – This 70-unit project is being developed by Hendricks Communities to serve seniors in central Colorado Springs. This project received a reservation of supplemental credit.
