CHFA Announces David Myler as Board Chair

(DENVER) Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) is pleased to announce David Myler as its board chair for the 2011-2012 board term. Myler was first appointed to CHFA’s board of directors by former Gov. Bill Ritter in 2009. CHFA’s 11-member board serves as the governing body of the organization and establishes policies to further its mission of affordable housing and small business finance.

Myler is an attorney specializing in land use, real estate, and municipal law. He previously served as general counsel for the Town of Snowmass Village and Snowmass Village Housing Authority between 1979 through 1988. Myler is a former board member and board chairman of the Aspen/Pitkin County Housing Authority.

Prior to forming The Myler Law Firm in 2005, Myler practiced law with the nationally recognized land use firm Freilich, Leitner & Carlisle based in Kansas City, Mo. The firm operated in Colorado as Freilich, Myler, Leitner & Carlisle until 2004 with an emphasis on land use, zoning, planning, city and county government, environmental, and real estate matters. Myler has extensive experience in the development and management of affordable housing projects in the Roaring Fork Valley.
