Second Chance Center

Second Chance Center's mission is to help formerly incarcerated people transition to lives of success and fulfillment. Their comprehensive housing program includes emergency shelter, transitional housing, affordable workforce housing, and permanent supportive housing. Second Chance Center’s training, apprenticeship, and employment program is geared toward generating "mortgage paying" salaries, in partnership with local employers to fill the skilled labor gap. All programming is rooted in peer mentoring and wraparound supportive services, including access to health care. Funds raised will support the opening of the four-home, 12 unit Wabash Street transitional, supportive, and workforce housing development. This project will allow formerly incarcerated individuals to make a strong start on a new life.
