Fair Housing Compliance: Hot Topics Part I
Part I of the presentation will provide an overview of relevant regulations, highlight the "hottest" legal developments, and sharply emphasize affirmative civil rights obligations for HUD program participants.

Fair Housing Compliance: Hot Topics Part II
Part II of the presentation will immerse participants in the right to equal access housing for people with disabilities, including the A-Z of reasonable accommodations/modifications, assistance animals, disability-related affirmative obligations for program participants, and an overview of the physical accessibility requirements.

Multifamily HUD Update
Highlights of HUD’s multifamily transformation. Learn how the Section 8(bb) of the Housing Act of 1937, provides HUD with a tool for preserving Section 8 budget authority, by allowing transfer of all or a portion of any remaining budget authority of a project-based Section 8 contract to one or more other contracts.

Not Your Normal Customer Service

This class will teach property staff the essential elements of outstanding customer service, from review of the basics to other tips and tools to improve management and resident relations. Participants will learn how to develop and maintain a positive attitude, plus show extra attentiveness to residents that build’s rapport. The class will also discuss non-verbal communication and how to deal effectively with difficult residents and complaints.
