Information will be presented from a growth and development perspective with a primary focus on addiction in the older adult. Click here for full details and registration.

Grief and Bereavement, Thornton │ November 15, 2017
1:00pm to 4:00pm

With age comes loss; with loss comes learning to face a new reality. Typically, when grief and bereavement are discussed, the primary focus is on loss through death. However, given the increasing age of the population and the challenges faced in maintaining health, grief and bereavement are felt with a variety of losses that are encountered during life transitions – changes in finances, physical and cognitive abilities, and housing.

This presentation will focus on exploring loss from a variety of lenses, beginning with the individuality and similarities in which people of all ages deal with grief and bereavement. Click here for full details and registration.
