like it forward begins today Are you in the spirit of giving, and liking, and sharing? We hope so, because today CHFA is launching “Like It Forward 2016”! Like It Forward is CHFA’s annual Facebook giving campaign to benefit nonprofit organizations in Colorado.
Our 2016 campaign will benefit Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC), a nonprofit that helps low-income Coloradans afford home energy, and improves the energy efficiency of nonprofit and affordable housing properties.
Starting today through December 19th, CHFA is partnering with Energy Outreach Colorado to help educate Coloradans about energy efficiency via weekly posts on Facebook. For each “like” the posts receive, CHFA will donate $1 to EOC. For each “share” the posts receive, CHFA will donate $5 to EOC.

about energy affordability
Struggling to afford home energy costs is a burden that many Coloradans face. Repairing or replacing broken appliances like furnaces can also be devastating to a household that is struggling to pay bills.
Did you know?
- More than 118,000 Colorado households with annual incomes at or below 50 percent of the Federal Poverty Level pay 21 percent of their income towards energy costs, compared to the 6 percent that is considered affordable*.
- In order to pay energy bills, 41 percent of low-income families have forgone medical or dental care, and 25 percent have gone without food for at least one day.**
Your participation in our Like It Forward campaign this year may help change these statistics and provide relief for families in need. Thank you for Liking (and sharing) It Forward!
