chfa’s 2027 office relocation
Partners and Customers,
We are excited to announce that CHFA is listing our current home at 1981 Blake Street for sale with plans to relocate our Downtown Denver headquarters to 1900 Lawrence in 2027. This decision has not been made lightly and follows much analysis and consideration about what is best for CHFA’s operational future and mission.
The relocation is part of a long-term strategy to better align CHFA’s workspace with how the organization works today. The new office is designed for the modern hybrid work environment, offering a variety of workspace options across a single floor. While smaller than the current building, the 1900 Lawrence offices will be better suited to CHFA’s needs in the era of hybrid work and will remain a welcoming space for in-person visitors and partners.
In addition, proceeds from the sale of Blake Street will be used to seed CHFA’s future $1B fund, which we seek to formally establish this year as part of our 2026 strategic plan and Vision 2030. In addition to revenue from the sale of our Blake Street building, CHFA and our ability to even further invest in our mission through new funds generated will benefit from the operational savings that CHFA will experience as we transition from a large property owner to a renter in a favorable commercial market. We are also pleased that our future home will allow us to remain a part of the Downtown Denver business community.
CHFA plans to relocate its Denver offices to 1900 Lawrence Street in the second quarter of 2027. The new office location is approximately 0.3 miles from CHFA’s current offices. Until the move, all operations will continue as usual. Mail, packages, meetings, and visitor services will remain at 1981 Blake Street until further notice.
