small-scale affordable housing technical assistance pre-application deadlines announced

CHFA’s Small-scale Affordable Housing Technical Assistance program helps catalyze small-scale affordable housing developments by providing access to an affordable housing consultant and pre-development grant assistance. Potential small-scale projects, of 30 units or less, may apply for affordable housing planning and development technical assistance (TA) services and pre-development grants to further their work.

CHFA anticipates inviting up to 10 project sponsors to participate in the TA program during Round One 2023. Priority will be given to rural projects and projects supporting nuero-inclusive populations. Pre-applications for project sponsors seeking to participate in Round One are due February 7th, 2023. Select project sponsors will be invited to participate in a one-hour Concept Meeting held virtually on either February 21st, February 24th, or March 6th. Following, project sponsors invited to participate in the program will meet with the CHFA consulting team to review a proposed Scope of Work and Participation Agreement on either March 17th or March 24th. Consulting work will begin in April 2023 with all Scope of Work items targeted for completion by August 2023.

Pre-applications for project sponsors seeking to participate in Round Two 2023 are due on August 4th.
