Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) is an evidence-based and proven model for housing those in our communities who face the most barriers to getting and staying housed. But it is important to head into such projects with full awareness of the commitment entailed for making these complex projects successful.
Join us to hear from WellPower, the mental health center of Denver, which provides wraparound resident services for their own PSH properties as well as those under other management companies.
You will hear the unvarnished perspectives of housing management, voucher processing, and facility maintenance as they discuss their real-life challenges, pitfalls, and experiences with PSH. They will discuss the risks involved, as well as mitigation strategies not commonly found in other forms of housing.
The first three years of a Permanent Supportive Housing project may be among the most challenging and rewarding of your career. Attend this session to expand your view of the commitment and what it will require from your team.
