Building respectful, long-term relationships in the workplace is essential for employees in any role, but it is even more crucial for teams that must rely heavily on each other to successfully and efficiently manage people and projects. Working in teams can be rewarding and at the same time, it is often difficult to juggle how to best manage the variety of personalities, communication styles, and priorities.
In this session, we will talk about the skill sets that can help participants level up their personal leadership so that they can work even more effectively on their team. We will also cover the most common dysfunctions of teams and how to overcome them.
This presentation weaves together knowledge from human development, team dynamics, and emotional intelligence to help participants use interpersonal skills to improve communication, conflict resolution, trust, empathy, commitment, and accountability. The goal is to learn how to maximize the potential of the individuals on the team to achieve the goals of the organization.
As an offering within the Housing Professionals Institute, class credits may be allocated to a Leadership Certificate, Management Certificate, or Onsite Professionals Certificate.
This workshop will not be recorded.
Cost: $75 members; $85 nonmembers
