In this tailored class, service coordinators and other human services staff working at affordable housing properties will benefit from an overview of Fair Housing basics. We will cover protected classes, types of discrimination, reasonable accommodations, reasonable modifications, and Section 504.

Additionally, we will review common scenarios that service coordinators might encounter. These include assistance animals, hoarding, and reasonable accommodation requests.

We will discuss the importance of effective communication and avoiding steering while providing service. Time will be included for Q&A.
