High-stakes communications are conversations where the content or outcome feels very significant to one or both parties and/or may trigger an emotional response. 

For example, you may need to inform a resident of a change with substantial implications for them, such as renovations, required relocation, or rent/utility rate increases. Or perhaps it is necessary to deliver or respond to constructive feedback to/from a colleague, community partner, or staff member. 

Join us to learn how to conduct high-stakes communications, including what makes a communication high-stakes, how to prepare yourself in advance, how to avoid predictable pitfalls, and how to keep the conversation efficient and productive. 

As an offering within the Housing Professionals Institute, class credits may be allocated to a Leadership Certificate, Management Certificate, or Onsite Professionals Certificate.
