This webinar will provide an overview of the annual submission requirements for properties with Housing Tax Credits and/or CHFA loans and the CHFA software systems used for these multifamily programs. These requirements apply throughout the Extended Use Period, Qualified Project Period, and/or loan term, and are also specified in each project’s Land Use Restriction Agreement (LURA), CHFA Regulatory Agreement, or Loan Agreement. The training and Q and A session and will include the following:

  • understanding the different requirements and where to find guidance in the multifamily program compliance manual;
  • overview of NextGen, CHFA’s online occupancy and demographics reporting system;
  • manual entering of data versus XML upload;
  • entering the Basic Annual Review (BAR) in NextGen;
  • running and using the Occupancy and Demographics report to prepare for the annual submission deadline of February 15;
  • making corrections to existing records;
  • frequently asked questions and common issues;
  • overview of Insight, CHFA's secure system for submitting most annual submissions and management review documentation; 
  • how to submit an annual owner certification (AOC); and
  • how to upload other annual submissions, including the IRS Form 8609 and audited financial statements.
