The goal of this session is to provide accessible tools and guidance to support safe vape disposal practices and resident education for vaping cessation. The topic has sparked significant interest among housing providers, who are seeing trends in vape waste and usage on their properties.

Participants will leave this session with increased awareness of the environmental, health, and safety risks associated with improper disposal of vape products within multi-unit housing communities. 

Outcomes of the session include:

1. Presenters will share practical, cost-effective solutions for implementing safe vape waste disposal systems, and highlight community-based models from counties like Denver and Boulder.

2. Presenters will provide vape-related language to integrate into existing smoke-free policies, resident agreements, and enforcement strategies.

3. Participants will be provided with vape cessation resources and will have access to customizable materials that can be used to educate residents about the risks of vaping, safe disposal methods, and how to access cessation support.
