We know that animals can be a vital support for residents, but what can be done when they come into conflict with a resident’s housing obligations?
There are more resources available than you may know about that can support a resident with meeting the requirements of animal policies. Attend this workshop to learn how to find and access services that support residents to be in compliance with their housing while enabling housers to provide accommodations.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Find and connect with local animal welfare organizations that can provide low-cost or free resources to residents with animals; and
- Name key animal welfare program terminology that can help housing providers search for and identify relevant resources for their residents.
Examples include vaccinations, veterinary care, food supplies, and even temporary placement for animals whose owners are experiencing a crisis. This workshop includes breakout sessions to help you build your referral library in real time.
This workshop will not be recorded.
