FoCo Café is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build community by providing nutritious and delicious meals to the people of Fort Collins regardless of their ability to pay while using mostly local, organic, and sustainably grown ingredients. FoCo Café operates on a pay-what-you-can scale where patrons choose to pay anywhere from $5-$15+ for an individual meal depending on what they are able to contribute financially. If a patron is not able to contribute financially, they are asked to donate up to an hour of their time and talents volunteering in exchange for a meal.

CHFA supported FoCo Café’s summer food program through a donation in 2022, as well as with a Direct Effect award to help fund meals provided through their daily lunch service.

"The funding support that CHFA has given to FoCo Café has made an immense impact on our ability to serve more of the community, and with lower barriers than ever before,” said Dexter Beasley, Executive Director of FoCo Café. “In 2023, we served about 30 percent more meals overall compared to 2022, and we saw the number of meals served through our Meal Exchange program almost double!”
