In 2018, The Lyric, an independent movie theater and café, moved to a newly constructed, expanded complex on North College Avenue in Fort Collins. The facility was constructed with the help of the Cash Collateral Support (CCS) program. A $250,000 CCS enhancement leveraged a $2.5 million construction and permanent loan from Great Western Bank.

The Lyric offers new movies from smaller production companies as well as “throwback” titles. The theater has a strong focus on hospitality and hosts other community events including live music. The business also includes a restaurant and bar. The expanded location offers greater seating capacity, diversification into a concert venue, live performance space, lecture hall, and a “bike-in” theater.
