HUD published an adjusted passbook savings rate of 0.40 percent, effective January 1, 2024. The new passbook rate is now required for all HTC and CHFA Loan tenant income certifications. CHFA has revised our current Tenant Income Certification (TIC) form so that owners may apply the current rate.

CHFA is happy to share that the latest version of Congress’ proposed 2024 tax bill includes provisions for expanding and enhancing the federal Affordable Housing Tax Credit. The bill passed through the House Ways and Means Committee on Friday with a strong bipartisan vote of 40-3.
