Since 2006, the chfareach membership and training program has been supporting multifamily property owners, managers, and site staff providing resources, education, and assistance for Colorado affordable housing.2006
CHFA launches chfareach. The program is created by Brian Miller, CHFA Director, Asset Management and launched by Karen Black, former chfareach Coordinator.
2007
chfareach offers 41 classes annually for 899 attendees
2009
First onsite resident class offered at Residences at Franklin Park in Denver. “Tracks” are introduced for six distinct participant audiences.
2012
Webinars introduced in addition to in-person classes.
2017
chfareach has grown to offer 101 classes, a 49 percent increase over the previous five years.
2019
2019
First graduating class of the Housing Professionals Institute (HPI), a career development opportunity for those working in Colorado's affordable housing industry.
2020
The COVID-19 Pandemic necessitates a shift from 25 percent of classes being offered online to 100 percent online programming
2022
CHFA launches Cvent event management platform to access chfareach classes
2025
Property Management Toolkit launches, a centralized hub of valuable materials tailored specifically for managing Section 8 and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties
chfareach has grown to offer 165 classes, a 32 percent increase over the previous five years. Chfareach now includes programs for 10 distinct participant audiences.
